Anti- islanding protection is the protection designed with the inverter to prevent islanding effects. Photovoltaic system islanding means even if the grid is off because of some issues, but the photovoltaic system is still supplying power to surrounding loads, forming a self-sufficient power supply islanding which the electrical company can not control.
