a. Unplug cable from LAN dongle and insert it to laptop
b. Disconnect WiFi from laptop
c. Run CMD by press Win+R keys and enter ipconfig /all command in CMD windows to check if there is IP address for Ethernet adapter, such as If IP address can be obtained, that is to say the cable and router all work well. Something wrong with LAN donlge. If there is no IP address for Ethernet adapter, it means either the cable or router is faulty
1. cable issue, replace a new cable to check if IP address can be obtained. If yes, the old cable is faulty, replace it to resolve this issue
2. If cable is replaced but still no IP address, change another port in router to check. If yes, the original port in router does not work. You may either change a port or direct replace your router.
