Here are 5 steps and 5 important parameters to properly configure your PV system:
Step1: Check the inverter Max. short circuit current, If /sc of PV string exceed the inverter Max. short circuit current, it may cause
damage to the inverter.
Step2: Check the inverter Max. input current, If the /mp of PV string exceed the inverter Max. input current, it may affect the power generation efficiency.
Step3: Check the upper limit of inverter MPP voltage range, The Voc of a PV panel determines the number of PV panels that can be connected to the inverter.
If the Voc of PV string exceed the upper limit of inverter MPp Voltage Range, it may cause:
a. Inverter often reports fault: Py Voltage Fault.
b. Damage to the inverter.
c. Trigger overvoltage derating, affecting system efficiency.
Step4: Check the Inverter Max. PV array power, If the Pmaxpyof PV array is greater than the inverter Max. PV array power, it may cause power instability or even inverter damage.
Step5: Check the Startup Voltage of the inverter, If the Vmp of PV string less than the inverter Start up Voltage, it may cause the inverter start and stop frequently, or it may not be able to start.
