Is there any special requirement for the generator which is connected to my X3-Hybrid-G4?

Please follow the tips below:
1. A generator shall be equipped with an ATS to ensure that the generator is automatically started during a grid power outage;
2. The generator’s rated output power shall be greater than the sum of load power and battery charge power (total or limited, set in the ExternalGenMaxCharge). In case of parallel connection of two inverters, the generator’s rated output power shall be greater than the sum of load power and battery charge power of two inverters (total or limited, set in the ExternalGenMaxCharge);

3. To prevent the inverter from reporting “EPS overload fault” due to battery power fail to meet the EPS loads after the generator is shut down, the EPS load power shall not be greater than battery discharge power. In case of parallel connection of multiple inverters, the EPS load power can be proportionally increased.
4.When the generator is working with parallel connected inverters, please ensure that the inverter model, power range,  and type and quantity of batteries are the same in all inverters in the parallel system.
5. Inverters need to upgrade the latest firmware to use generator function.
6. Generator dry contact mode and adapter box(for heat pump) share the same Dry contact PINs. So generator Dry contact mode and adapter box are unable to be used at same time.
